i'm starting to get REALLY into horror photography and i'm LOVEING it!!! this is actually for a project calls adopt a photographer we are to find a photographer we like and then be inspired by their work and make our own series of photos

i chose Joshua Hoffine

Daily Deviation

Given 2008-10-22

Damsel by ~ramsbowler16 is just downright disturbing. This image is pure violence, fear, and horror. Looking at it sends chills up and down my spine and although I know that this is the work of amazing models and a photographer.. I still want to reach out to that poor girl and help her. (Suggested by ~razziphotography and Featured by ^Katerina423)

I really love this. I looked at it and even though I know who both of these girls are, they still are incredibly convincing. Erzy completely gets into character and the set up, focus, composition and wardrobe choice are all fantastic. I can't wait to see more from you.

I possibly want to sit in/be a part of one of these sessions. It looks like a blast and I'm sure I could pick up a few tips from you.

thank you so much! yea no problem i'm going to be taking a bunch more next week of an asylum scene as well as a scene with glenn where he will have is eyes and lips sewn shut but have a tv and a tv dinner, i also have an electric chair scene to do but idk if that will get done for this project, i will be doing this again for an independent study as well as most likly my senior project/show :D

The fact that it's so sunny and colorful completely contrasts the mood of the piece, although not in a negative way.

Great! I like that you're not all trying to look beautiful and cool but have the courage to act and look real and alive. Much more interesting that all those fashion or artistic photos.

I only wish you'd have chosen a different weather or daytime or gone inside into some dark corner to make the mood of the image fit the action. Somehow the sunshine seems to contradict the story.
